Terms of Service

Last updated: April 2026

1. Acceptance

By creating an account or using Euterria, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the platform. These terms apply to all users — individual members, organization administrators, and guests.

2. What Euterria is

Euterria is a collaboration platform for the BayCAN (Bay Area Climate Action Network) community. It is intended for use by member organizations, their staff, and affiliated partners working on climate action in the Bay Area and beyond. Access is limited to individuals who have a legitimate connection to the network.

3. Accounts

  • You must provide accurate information when creating an account.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
  • You may not share your account or allow others to use it on your behalf.
  • You must notify us immediately if you believe your account has been compromised.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Post false, misleading, or fraudulent content
  • Harass, threaten, or abuse other members
  • Scrape, harvest, or bulk-export member data without authorization
  • Use the platform to send unsolicited commercial messages
  • Attempt to circumvent access controls or security measures
  • Use another member's contact information for purposes unrelated to legitimate climate network collaboration

5. Content you submit

You retain ownership of content you upload — profiles, documents, program descriptions, and organization information. By submitting content, you grant Euterria a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display and make that content available to other members within the platform for the purposes described in our Privacy Policy.

You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to share any content you upload, including documents authored by others.

6. Organization accounts

If you manage an organization profile, you represent that you are authorized to act on behalf of that organization. Organization administrators are responsible for the accuracy of their organization's information and the conduct of members they add to the organization.

7. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, at our discretion and without prior notice. You may delete your own account at any time by contacting us at hello@euterria.org.

8. Disclaimers

Euterria is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or that the platform will be free of errors. Member profiles, documents, and other content are provided by users and we do not verify their accuracy.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Euterria and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform, including damages arising from reliance on member-provided content.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by updating the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

11. Contact

Questions about these terms can be directed to hello@euterria.org.
